Snap a photo, get a PSA-style grade in about 30 seconds, then let the math decide whether that card ever sees a submission form.
Every collector has a drawer. You know the one. It’s full of raw cards that might be gems, might be 7s, and have been waiting for a grading decision since roughly the last presidential administration.
figoca wants to empty that drawer for you. Its pitch is refreshingly simple: know your card’s grade before you submit. Point your phone at a card, get a grade estimate in about half a minute, and then get a straight answer on whether sending it in actually pays off. No signup required to try it, which is our favorite kind of friction (none).

A research toolkit with a grading brain
figoca bills itself as a trading card research toolkit for collectors, dealers, and investors who want data instead of gut feeling. Under the hood it’s a bundle of tools that share one job: helping you decide what to grade, what to buy, and what to pay.
It’s also not just a sports card play. Coverage spans the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, soccer, and F1, plus Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Magic: The Gathering, with vintage and modern both supported. Pricing comes from real eBay sold listings, not asking prices.
The company describes itself as bootstrapped and founder-led. Its founder is an independent software developer in Germany who built figoca after running into the usual collector headaches: pre-grading guesswork, too many comp tabs, and no fast way to price cards on the go. As of October 5, 2026, figoca’s homepage reports 59,000+ cards graded, and its investor page cites 8M+ listings indexed (both self-reported, per figoca.com).
The feature tour: six tools, one drawer-emptying mission
AI Card Grader: your pre-grader in your pocket
This is the headliner. Snap the front and back (corners optional) and the AI scores centering, corners, edges, and surface. You get a PSA-style grade probability rather than one single number, which is a more honest way to frame a prediction. It’s free with no account needed.
The Worth Grading verdict: the part that saves you money
A grade estimate is nice. Knowing whether that grade pays for itself is better. figoca weighs your grade odds against recent sold prices and the grading fee, then serves up a verdict: worth grading, borderline, or not worth grading at this price. You can pick the grading service and tier the math should use (PSA, BGS, or SGC), and there’s a standalone EV Grading Calculator for running the numbers by hand.
Comps: real sold prices, raw and graded
Search any card, player, or set and see what it actually sold for on eBay, with dates and links back to the original listings. Raw and graded are both covered.
The Chrome extension: figoca, but inside eBay
This is where things get fun. The free extension drops sold-price overlays and deal ratings right onto eBay listings while you browse. Version 4.0.0, released September 28, 2026, is the biggest update yet, per figoca’s release notes. Every raw listing now shows what the same card recently sold for as a PSA 10, 9, and 8 (plus BGS 9.5 and 9), and how much is left after the grading fee. It can even grade a raw card straight from the seller’s photos. Shopping for gradable raws just got a cheat sheet.
Portfolios: track it, then show it off
Track your collection’s value over time and share lists for Facebook groups. It’s labeled “New” on the site, so expect it to keep growing.
Rookie Cards Database: scouting report included
Trending rookies, depth charts, and price history for 60+ players across six sports. It’s a handy starting point if you’re hunting for the next breakout before the hobby catches on.

What we love
It answers the question before the expensive one
Most grading regret starts with a hopeful submission. figoca moves the decision upstream. By pairing a grade estimate with sold comps and the fee, it turns “I think this could be a 10” into an actual expected-value call. That’s the right question, asked at the right time.
It meets you where you already shop
A lot of tools make you leave eBay to research eBay. The extension flips that. Deal ratings, graded values, and a grading verdict show up on the listing itself, so research happens in the same tab as the buy button.
The free tier is genuinely useful
The AI grader, Comps, EV calculator, Rookie Cards Database, and extension are all free with no credit card. A Pro tier adds unlimited gradings, card identification, market values, and grading ROI analysis for collectors who want to go deeper.
It ships, and it shows its work
The extension went from 3.5.0 to 4.0.0 in under two weeks this September. The release notes are detailed, plain-spoken, and list bug fixes right alongside new features. For a founder-led product, that kind of transparency is a good sign.
Good to know
An AI grade is a forecast, not a slab. figoca frames its output as a PSA-style probability, which is the right call, but photo quality, lighting, and surface flaws a camera misses can all move the real result. Treat the verdict as a smart filter, not a guarantee.
The pricing data is eBay sold listings only, so sales on other marketplaces and auction houses aren’t in the picture. The Chrome extension is also, well, Chrome. Other browsers will need to use the web app.
Fast shipping cuts both ways. The 4.0.0 release notes include fixes for some earlier pricing glitches on lower-value cards, which figoca disclosed openly. If you lean on deal ratings for cheap singles, keep the extension updated.
Finally, the usage stats and testimonials on the homepage come from figoca itself. They’re fun to read, but they aren’t independent measures. If you’re eyeing Pro, check current pricing and terms on figoca’s site before you upgrade.

The bottom line
figoca isn’t trying to replace the graders. It’s trying to make sure you only pay them when it makes sense. An AI pre-grade, real sold comps, and an expected-value verdict add up to a simple habit: check first, submit second.
If you’ve got a drawer of raw cards and a nagging feeling some of them are gems, this one is worth five free minutes. Try figoca, grade a card or two, and add the Chrome extension before your next eBay scroll. Your next grading submission might be smaller. Your hit rate might be a whole lot better.
